This evening, I went to a worship night with my House Church at Ethos. I have loved the few weeks I have been there. My dearest friends prayed for me and knew just the words to say, by the grace of God.
Many people were baptized, born again in Jesus Christ, and great rejoicing and celebration arose in worship and praise. For the first time in as long as I can remember, I was able to confidently and boldly say that I am a child of God, sealed by the Holy Spirit.
Love has overcome my fears. Kneeling on the hardwood floor of that bar, celebrating the mercy and kindness of our Father and King, watching hearts be dipped into the water, and rise up in reflection of being born again by the Holy Spirit, was a joyous moment indeed.
Weakness is beautiful because it illuminates God’s strength. On my knees, like the sinful women in Luke, with the alabaster jar, pouring out all that I had in worship as He fills me and tells me I am His is One of those times I hope to always remember, a little glimpse of eternity with Jesus.
